The packing kit is what holds in the pressure as the piston rod moves up and down drawing and forcing material through the fluid section and to the spray gun. If you are repairing the sprayer always check the rod to make sure it is in good condition. Call us if you have any questions.
Reasons or symptoms that determine piston replacement the Titan XT440 :
- The sprayer will prime the paint but will not hold the pressure
- The sprayer will run continously when the sprayer is in the spray position
- Normal wear (between 50-200 gallons of paint sprayed)
- Paint is flowing out if the top packing nut when the face plate is removed
