Many people ask us for recommendations on what extras to purchase with their sprayer.
These are a must:
- Pump Saver
- Piston Lube
- G-10 gun upgrade (if using more than one time)
- 3' whip hose
When you are working inside consider the TR-9 or TR-10 to roll the walls - and some extra rollers-they come in 3/8" and 3/4"
18" or 24" extensions if you need to spray ceilings, the underside of decks, eaves on the house or anything that's too far out of reach
25' or 50' spray hose as a backup or if you don't want to have to move your sprayer much
Extra spray tips - depending on what you are spraying will depend on what tip you use-for trim use a tip with a 2" or 4" fan- for walls use a tip with an 8"-10" fan- when using oil base and lacquers use a tip with a .009-.013 orifice size - use .013-.019 when spraying latex paints.
Not sure what the numbers mean on a tip? This is all you need to know - the first number doubled always tells you the width of the spray from a foot away from what you are spraying. The second two numbers refer to the size of the orifice. A 215 tip = 4" fan with a .015 or 15 thousandths orifice, which is a latex tip.
A 515 is a 10" fan one foot away from the wall and has a .015 orifice which makes it a latex tip.
A 311 tip is a 6" fan one foot away from the wall and has an .011 orifice which would classify it as an oil-based stain or oil-based paint tip.
You can also look at tip size chart we have listed below. These tips are very reasonable in price. Any of those listed above are $10 and if not listed above they are $13.00 each. Most tips sold at your local paint or big box store will cost more than $20.
